Following the criticisms generated by the controversial raid of Justice Mary Odili’s home, a source inside one of the leading security agencies has revealed to YeyeNews.com that a joint team of the police, DSS and EFCC officials carried out the raid in response to a tip off that the Supreme Court Justice just took delivery of some diamond crusted panties.
According to the source, “An anonymous whistleblower passed the intelligence to the AGF office and a team was immediately assembly following a hurriedly-secured search warrant. We were told that Justice Odili was having some diamond crusted panties in her house. Our mission was strictly to arrest the panties and not Justice Odili. The government just needed items they could auction to raise money”.
The source further revealed that all the people involved had to deny knowledge of the operation because they were embarrassed by its failure. “It’s basic practice within security circles to deny knowledge of controversial operations like this one when they turn out to be flawed. It’s either Justice Odili got wind of the operation and moved the panties to another location or the whistleblower gave us false information. The AGF is very disappointed about the failure of this operation because he wanted to use it as a present to welcome the president from Saudi Arabia. A team has already been set up to determine what went wrong and report back in a week”, the source concluded.
But an aide to Justice Odili denied the allegations that she has diamond crusted panties. “This is one of those daring lies from this government. They did it successfully with the Diezani bras so now they want to perform another stunt. It is all to bamboozle the people and distract them from the reality of government’s failure. But this time their tactics fell flat on their face”.
