Slay queens in Nigeria has described the arrest of one of their members in Bayelsa State by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) as a clear case of bias against them. Miss Charlotte Delhi was arrested by the DSS for blackmailing one Mr. Liverpool with a sex video she secretly recorded during the time they spent together.
Speaking to YeyeNews.com, the national coordinator of the Association of Slay Queens and Slay Mamas, Miss kingston Annabel, expressed surprise at the speed with which the DSS carried out the arrested. “It took the DSS less than 48hrs to locate and arrest Charlotte. But they are still dragging their feet as the blackmailers of our dear Tiwa Savage are having a field day sharing her sex tape. It is obvious that the way the DSS handle matters like this depends on whether the victim is male or female. The former elicit prompt response while the latter is just left to sob in their beds. Enough of this injustice against women”.
The chief slay queen of Bayelsa State also condemned what she called the ‘selective justice’ of security agencies. “Many of my friends have fallen victims in the hands of their male clients. Some where robbed of their valuables. Some had even lost their lives but security agents never went after the perpetrators. Sometimes they even insist to sleep with us before they will accept any case. But once the matter is the other way round security men will jump into action immediately. We are tired of this oppression”.
Meanwhile the national coordinator the slay queens has given the DSS 72hrs to either release Miss Charlotte or equally arrest those who released the sex tape of Tiwa Savage. “We are giving them 72hrs ultimatum. Arrest those behind sex video of Tiwa Savage or release Charlotte. If they fail then we shall have no choice but to mobilize our members across the country to the DSS headquarters. We are going to shut down their office with one million slay queens and slay mamas”.
