Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church International, aka Winners Chapel, has countered the claim made by Sheikh El Zakzaky that majority of Nigerians will prefer an Islamic rule if given a chance to choose. Bishop Oyedepo made his response during a meeting at the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State on Saturday.
“God will strike the mouth of that man who said Nigerians prefer Islamic Rule,” he retorted. “Which Islamic rule and which Nigeria? This matter has been settled in the presence of God long time ago. Jesus himself conducted the referendum and over 90% of Nigerians choose Christian rule. Even those ones with long beards and wear half trousers voted for Christ. What was that Philistine talking about?”
YeyeNews.com had earlier reported how El Zakzaky had stated during his interview with the Iranian based Press TV that “majority of Nigerians will prefer the Islamic rule” during his interview with the Iranian based Press TV. However, the outspoken Bishop who has taken it upon himself to defend Christ and Christianity in Nigeria will not take any of such claims. “That Nigerians prefer Islamic rule is a lie from the pit of hell,” the man of God stated emphatically. “You want to force us to cover our faces and not shave our beards? We will show you the other side of God. The fire side. That is how one nonentity try to mock Christ here. I gave her a dirty slap. I have more deadly slaps from where that one came. Let them try me”, the Bishop exploded to the roaring applause of his congregation.
A member of Winner’s Chapel confirm to YeyeNews.com reporter that indeed the Bishop has a copy of the results of the referendum conducted by Christ. “You think he is kidding?” the man asked rhetorically. “No way. My Bishop dines with Christ. He requested for the referendum and Christ conducted it. Ninety percent wants Christian rule. He has shown us the results that Jesus gave him. El Zakzaky will be shocked.”
WhenYeyeNews.com contacted Prophet Chukwuemeka “Odumeje” Ohanaemere to get his reactions, he said he was busy conducting deliverance that but added that if Sheikh El Zakzaky was serious about the issue he should come to his church and make such blasphemous statement . “Nwanne, m ga ebe mmadu.. Jesus say we shall do greater than he do”, the Ndaboski himself added before hanging up the phone.
