A group of researchers from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri has made a startling discovery claiming that solar panels not only convert the sun’s energy into a usable form but are also draining the sun of its own energy which may lead to far more catastrophic consequences than global warming. The lead researcher Prof Isaiah Pintama argued that the energy radiated from the sun is not only captured by the solar panel but that some energy is also physically drawn directly from the core of the sun by the panels through a mechanism that is yet to be fully understood.
“We know that there are three modes of heat transfer. The mechanisms involved in all three are fully understood. But our study has established a fourth which is akin to draining a swamp from a distance without any physical intervening medium. In this process the solar panels pulls on the sun forcing more energy to be released than the sun is actually producing”, the Professor of Energy Security told YeyeNews.com.
In a study published in the Journal of Sustainable Energy, the researchers assured the public that there is however no immediate danger to the earth from the use of solar panels. “The use of solar panels does not currently pose a serious risk to the sun. But by the time most of our grids are significantly solar and all homes in the world has solar panels on their roofs the sun could die out within two to three centuries. But in the short term the global temperature may drop to as low as 5 degrees Celcius. We won’t even live to witness the sun dying out”, the team wrote.
The Minister of Environment has commended the researchers for their groundbreaking discovery. “This was exactly what President Buhari told the participants at the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow. These so called green technologies are more harmful to the environment than fossil fuel. What would be the use of clean air if our sun is not functional? I hope that the world will now understand what President Buhari was saying and realize that we actually need to increase our dependence on fossil fuels”.
