The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Mujahedeen Isa Pantami has responded to the cryptic message believed to be directed at him by the First Lady Mrs. Aisha Buhari.
YeyeNews.com recently reported that Aisha Buhari shared shared an Instagram video of Mujahedeen Pantami weeping during one of his sermons. The Minister cried after his reciter read a verse from Holy Quran which reads: “Such are the gardens which We will give to Our God-fearing servants as their inherited property.” Mujahedeen Pantami could be seen in the video crying, “O Allah, make me one of them! O Allah, make me one of them!”
In sharing the video, Aisha added a short Hausa caption which translates as “Be courageous to do what is right.” Sources close to the First Lady hinted to Yeyenews.com that the message was directed against the fraudulent professorship recently awarded to the minister by the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). “The First Lady is asking Mujahedeen Pantami to decline the fraudulent professorship as a true Muslim”, the source said.
In the latest of the ongoing cold war between Mujahedeen Pantami and Aisha Buhari, the terrorist-sympathetic minister used his handle to post the following in the largely Islamophobic microblogging site named Koo: “A wife is expected to be by her husband’s side at all times. That is the injunction of the prophet. Be courageous, come back home to your husband.” It will be recalled that Mujahedeen Pantami moved to the Indian-based Koo after, according to reports, he encouraged the current Twitter ban .
The post has generated a lot of comments on the platform as seen by YeyeNews.com reporter. Among the comments was one from @saidaura who wrote “If Aisha was around, Baba would have worn a better trouser to Imo State. She has abandoned her duty. I support Baba to marry Sadiya as second wife.”
Upon investigation later, YeyeNews.com reporter gathered that @saidaura was referring to Sadiya Umar Farouq is the current Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
