Sources in the Ministry of Information has revealed that the ministry budgeted two billion naira in the 2022 budget to hire consultants to create propaganda materials for the government. The consultants will assist Alhaji Lai Mohammed who seems to have run out of lies. “You know this government survives on lies. Lai Mohammed has been the engine room of lies but recently he has been finding it difficult to come up with new lies. Anything that he or others managed to come up with happened to have been told by him previously. They are desperate to fill the void. That is the reason such large sum was budgeted for that purpose. Lies will become truths in 2022”, a source told YeyeNews.com.
“The president approved the ministry’s proposal to hire external workers and contractors to come up with lies, deceptions and subterfuge because it seems that we cannot come with anything original anymore. We are in such a dilemma. These contractors that the ministry wants to hire will hopefully resolve matters. They are internationally renown for aggressively pushing alternative facts especially to influence political decisions”, another source in the Ministry of Information told YeyeNews.com.
A source in the presidency told YeyeNews.com that everyone is concerned that the inability of Lai Mohammed to sustain his pre-2015 level of churning out propaganda and lies may be exploited by the PDP to return to power. “Everyone including the president are very worried because Lai Mohammed has lost his stamina. You know the man is old. We brought FFK into the fold thinking he could continue the job of Lai but unfortunately he cannot be relied on anymore. Somebody that can’t even stay on top of his woman. We just have to find a way to match the opposition statement for statement, propaganda for propaganda and lies for lies. The only way was to hire people who are trained to lie and manipulate information”.
