An exclusive access into documents detailing how Nigerian born scammer Hushpuppi almost defrauded former Real Madrid star Christiano Ronaldo of €4 has been made available to YeyeNews.com. Hushpuppi pulled off the elaborate scheme pretending to be an international real estate agent by name Sadiq Yosef, according to the documents provided by a source inside EFCC.
The documents revealed that the football star met Hushpuppi at an exclusive beach in Greece where he discussed his intention to buy a beautiful island for his friend Albert Fantrau. Hushpuppi then convinced him to buy “Banana Island” because at €4 the island is exceedingly underpriced, considering the quantity of precious metal deposits underneath its surface.
In subsequent communications Hushpuppi then connected Christiano to a yet to be identified man that claimed to be the “Director of the Lagos Islands Management Bureau”. This individual further presented the football star with various documents and photos that convinced him to part with the money.
Sensing an elaborate con scheme, Christiano Ronaldo decided to play along. “They want to dribble me. They don’t know that my name is already a metaphor for dribbling”, the document quoted Ronaldo as saying to his friend in Portuguese.
Another EFCC official familiar with the case told YeyeNews.com that Ronaldo was indeed a master dribbler as he was able to turn the whole table around making Hushpuppi to trust him completely. “Do you know that he even convinced Hushpuppi to buy similar outfits for both of them to wear to visit Nigeria to see the island? If you followed Hushpuppi on Instagram, you would have noticed a time he wore a similar outfit with Ronaldo”, the official said amidst a bout of laughter.
“Ronaldo was just making him travel everywhere for meetings thinking he would receive the €4m. But the man was just wasting his time”, the official added. When YeyeNews.com asked this source if Abba Kyari tailored the outfits for Hushpuppi and Ronaldo, the source went into another round of laughter and chipped in, “That police clown will be making prison clothes in US soon.”
A close friend of Hushpuppi while sharing his insight into the inner workings of the gang told our reporter that “Hush is a very smart guy but that was just his foolish moment and it mark the beginning of his end. How would you be wearing similar attires with your client?” he queried.
“Big mistake”, another added.
