Tuface Idibia’s most popular song, “African Queen,” has failed to make the Rock and Roll Song Hall of Fame 2021 due to Annie Idibia’s recent online flare-up against her husband, Tuface.
An accusation by Annie Idibia that her husband, Tuface, was messing around with Pero, his baby mama, during a vacation with his kids recently rocked Africa’s social media. It led to an expanded fight that involved Tuface and Annie’s family members.
According to sources close to YeyeNews.com, unknown to Tuface, his song, “African Queen,” was under consideration for the yearly Rock n Roll Song Hall of Fame. “African Queen” was the first African song considered for the exclusive honor in twenty years of the award.
“It probably failed because of the embarrassing fight between Tuface and his wife, Annie, who happened to be the face of the song,” a source in Ohio told YeyeNews.com. “The Cleveland, Ohio, based Hall of Fame board members probably did not want Tuface’s family drama to tarnish the prestigious award, so they dumped the song.”
Organizers had hoped it would be the first African song to receive such honor. Now that it failed, according to an insider who spoke to YeyeNews.com, the next African song that would qualify is Wizkid’s Ojuelegba, but that would not happen until the year 2026.
“Tuface has missed an opportunity to travel to Cleveland with Annie to make a speech in front of Rock and Roll royalties,” our source continued.
Incidentally, Tuface celebrated his 46th birthday this weekend. In a post on Instagram that he titled, ‘I’m Not Perfect,’ he shared a loved-up picture of himself with his wife, Annie. “
” I know I’m not without mistakes, neither am I perfect, but we keep learning and working and striving to become the best version of ourselves,” Tuface wrote. “It is well.”
His wife, unfortunately, did not reciprocate with a like or even a share. A family friend pointed that out to YeyeNews.com with a final thought. “It tells you that the marital crisis is not over yet,” he said. “What is crying, is still crying.”
