There is an ongoing craze among the female ministers in President Buhari’s cabinet to acquire the pieces of auctioned invisible bra and braziers belonging to the former minister of Petroleum Diezani Alison-Madueke, a source revealed to YeyeNews.com.
The EFCC recently listed some properties of Mrs. Diezani, which includes “Eleven pieces of invisible bra and 30 pieces of braziers” to be auctioned. A credible source within the EFCC revealed to YeyeNews.com reporter how three prominent female ministers almost physically fought themselves in the anti-graft agency chairman’s office over who should get preference over the choice bras.
“The ministers were like little children fighting over candies. The one in charge of humanitarian affairs was the most fierce. She insisted that she needed the fanciful pieces more than the others. The chairman had to diplomatically separate them and assured them that he will reserve 3 pieces of the bra for each of them. That was how a mini war was averted in the office”.
However, one of the members of the Asset Recovery Committee told YeyeNews.com reporter that there is no way the ministers can get three pieces each. “Who are they to get three pieces each? Those ministers are at the bottom of the sharing order. The first lady is at the top, then those powerful men in the cabal will reserve for their wives because they are already on their neck, then we in the committee have wives also”, the source explained. “Maybe the one in humanitarian affairs might get because of her special relationship with baba. That is if the man will be interested to give the directive. But the truth is every important thing that is movable has been taken already. That published list is purely for the press to further our propaganda”.
Meanwhile, a women’s rights advocate Temitope Olori has accused the government of demeaning women by listing the bra of the former minister for auction. “They can list the bra of a woman but they have never done the same for a man’s boxers or even singlet. This is demeaning. It is even more shameful for women in the government to be scrambling to acquire these very personal belongings of a fellow woman. If they want to be fashionable in the bedroom let them go purchase theirs in the market rather than loot another woman’s property”.
