Amidst the ongoing accusations and counter accusations between former presidential spokesman Reno Omokri and the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the recent Kogi governorship election, Natasha Akpoti, the popular Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has given Nigerian men some useful tips to avoid being given a false name and phone number when wooing a lady.
Jim Iyke gave the advise through his verified Instagram handle on Friday. The actor wrote on his Internet blog, The Ways of Real Men with Jim Iyke: “Real men do not let women fool them with fake names and wrong phone numbers. Don’t ask for name and number just like that. What you get may turn out to be fake because there are lots of Natashas out there ready to make a fool of you. There is a simple foolproof method against any Natasha you encounter. Open your mobile banking app and request to transfer some money to her. A woman will never give you a fake bank account. Through the account number you will get the name that her father gave to her at birth. As you are in it, also offer to recharge her phone. She definitely cannot give you a wrong number. No be for this Naija. It’s a win win for everybody.”
It will be recalled that Natasha Akpoti had accused Reno Omokri of making advances on her in 2014. She claimed to have given Reno Omokri a fake name and wrong phone number when the former presidential aide would not let up. However, Reno Omokri has denied the allegations singing “It wasn’t me”.
Many social media users have commended Jim Iyke for his timely advice. “With this no woman can give you an open plot address again. They can no longer eat their cake and have it”, an Instagram user commented. “If Reno had followed your advice, that Natasha girl would not be running her mouth today.
